You can become an AutoAid Breakdown member by purchasing online via the provided link on our website. Alternatively, you can purchase by clicking here. Please note any cover commences from midnight on the day after we receive payment.

Yes, if your vehicle will not start at your home, AutoAid Breakdown will arrange help. If your vehicle can’t be repaired at your home address, we will tow the vehicle to the nearest available garage.
If you have broken down you can get urgent assistance via our App or you can call our freephone number on 0800 1700 400 or 01708 963190. If you are a member You can download the App from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. If you would like some more information about the app simply visit our AutoAid Recovery App page.
Although our membership states you are required to have a legal spare tyre, we are aware that some cars do not have this and have a tyre inflation kit instead. In this instance, AutoAid Breakdown will recover your car to the nearest tyre centre for you to get a replacement.
AutoAid will recover you the vehicle and up to five passengers to any one UK destination.
AutoAid membership only covers you whilst driving in the UK (mainland England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). If you require breakdown cover while travelling to Europe we can offer a separate cover with EuroRescue, our sister company, which would cover you for the time that you are abroad. AutoAid membership covers you and your legal spouse or civil partner (provided you have named them on the policy) with breakdown cover which includes, roadside assistance, a vehicle recovery service to one place of your choice, home breakdowns, emergency travel or overnight hotel accommodation, and cover for an attached caravan or small trailer.
We might have to cancel your membership if we find that there has been any of the following reasons:
- Misrepresentation – this is where you have provided us with incomplete, incorrect or untrue information.
- Documentation – where you have failed to provide us the requested documentation, this could also result in additional fees or the premium being due.
- Failed instalment payments – where you have failed to keep up with your instalment payments for your insurance.

We're afraid not, but If you are travelling into Europe, we can offer you separate cover here “EuroRescue” which covers you for the time you are abroad.

Most customers choose for us to renew their policy automatically but if you have chosen to manage this yourself you can renew your membership here “Renew your membership".
Not a problem at all, just covering your vehicle may reduce your premium, you can get a quote to cover your vehicle with our sister company, AutoNational here "vehicle-based cover". Please be aware though, a vehicle based policy only covers you in the vehicle stated on the membership.
If you are driving vehicles that are 15 years or younger we may be able to limit your membership to younger vehicles. This may reduce your premium which you can check here "Younger Vehicle Cover".
Alternatively, you may want to consider a vehicle based cover with our sister company Autonational, click here "Vehicle Based Cover".
You can opt- out of automatic renewals by pressing "Stop auto renew".
We would be sad to see you go, but if you do not wish to continue your renewal you can notify us here "Lapse membership".
We would be sorry to see you go, however, should you wish to cancel your membership you can do so at any time by pressing "Cancel my membership".
